Ring Sizing Guide
1. Using a String or Strip of Paper
- Step 1: Cut a piece of string or a thin strip of paper.
- Step 2: Wrap the string or paper around the base of your finger. Ensure it's snug but not too tight.
- Step 3: Mark the point where the end meets the rest of the string or paper.
- Step 4: Measure the length of the string or paper with a ruler in millimeters (mm).
- Step 5: Compare the measurement to a ring size chart, which typically shows the circumference of rings in millimeters corresponding to each ring size.
2. Considerations
- Measure at the Right Time: Measure your finger at the end of the day when it is largest. Avoid measuring when your fingers are cold, as they tend to shrink.
- Measure the Correct Finger: Make sure you're measuring the finger that will actually wear the ring, as finger sizes can vary between hands.
- Account for Knuckles: If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, you might need a slightly larger ring size.
Using these methods, you can accurately determine your ring size or someone else's if you're planning to give a ring as a gift.
